Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games

The 2nd Asian Indoor-Martial Arts Games, which is also counted as the 5th Asian Indoor Games will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in 2017. Ashgabat, first in the Central Asian region, won the right to host the Asian Indoor Games. The host city was chosen in Kuwait on December 19, 2010. July 6, 2013 the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia was officially handed over to the mayor of the city of Ashgabat.

One of the unique facilities, which, having no analogues in the Central Asian region, will host the Asian Indoor Games is the Olympic Village, it will include more than 30 different objects, including complex and Paralympic Rehabilitation Medical Center. The initiator of the construction is the President of TurkmenistanGurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. November 5, 2010 the President of Turkmenistan took part in the ceremony of laying the Olympic Village.

For the convenience of athletes and spectators in the Olympic village will be built all the necessary infrastructure, including social, cultural and shopping centers, hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops, consumer services, car park. On the campus network will be laid pedestrian crossings and the monorail.
